Well today hubby and I went out and bought a cell phone. Again. We had one before and had the pay as you go cards but never got another one when it ran out. So today we went and got a phone with a plan. Now how much we will use it is another question. We don't use cell phones that often but now that we are on a plan, I just might start using it more.
So my question for this week is
Do you have a cell phone and do you use a plan or pay as you go? _________________ ~Darlene~

I don't have a cell phone & really don't want one. I've seen the trouble my roommate has gone through to get his cell phone connected through Sprint- what a hassle.

I used to have a cell phone and hubby has one. Both were/are on plans. Evenings and weekends are free, 200 minutes...he doesn't use it all that often. Let's just say he rarely uses all the minutes in a month, actually he doesn't even come close. It's great to have it with you regardless.

We used to have a family share plan with Verizon. It was ok, but after a while we started using the phone more and more (well, mostly me...) and ended up going over the minutes more often. WE tried to upgrade our plan, but then ended up getting hit with $600 a month bills for three months in a row. So I ended up getting a Metro PCS phone to replace my other. I don't know where the service is available elsewhere, but here it is nearly the same as the other phone companies. I'm only paying $55 a month for my phone, and I have unlimited long distance calling, voice mail, and internet access. After a couple months, DH decided to cancel his phone and go with Metro as well, and, boy has it saved us tons of money!! We are considering getting phones for the kids as well, and going on the family plan, which is only $100 a month for four lines for the same features. We'll see... _________________ Kira Sandoval---
