1. Who is the handyman in your house? Or do you call for reinforcements?
2. What is the last thing that broke in your house,… and who fixed it?!
3. What is the most disasterous fix-it story you have?
4. Ever had one of those fix-it moments that was tragic at the moment, but hysterically funny afterwards? |

Hubby is the handyman in our house now. At one time it was pretty much me until he told me to stop. I guess I made more work than fixing things. He would go to work and I would either tear out some kitchen cupboards or take a couple walls out upstairs. I wanted a bigger room there. lol Where we live now, its pretty well okay. Not much to be fixed. I guess hubby is breathing sighs of relief.
The last thing that broke in our house, well it was really outside. The pipe for the outside tap broke and hubby fixed it.
I guess the most disastrous fix it story for me would be when I tore down the kitchen cupboards and it left a light fixture hanging in the middle of the ceiling along with a big hole. Well hubby fixed the light fixture and I fixed the hole. Did a good job if I do say so myself. lol
I guess that was the most tragic fix it moment for us and we do laugh about it now. When I fixed the hole in the ceiling, I used a cereal box and a piece of screen to cover the hole before I mudded it. Its still fine today and that is over 25 years ago. lol My son now lives in that house and the ceiling is fine. |

Hubby is my fix it.
I have had a few disasters here. They always seem to involve my washing maching.
Long story short, the hose for the water came unattached from the back of the machine. well, we live on the top 2 floors, mom and dad inlaw live downstairs. well, I was home with my son who was like 3 at the time and I hear this LOUD BOOM!! I was scared to pieces. My inlaws were away so I went downstairs to see what it was. I walk into their bedroom and long behold their cieling was on their bed, water justa pouring down. OMG I almost had a heart attack. and that was nothing, just recently we moved our washer/dryer up to the 3rd floor. SOmething happeneed to the valve, next thing I knew it was pouring rain downstairs in my hallway. so needless to say, i have NO luck with washing machines. They were not fun events!! lol
