Can you swim? How old were you when you learned?

I can I havent any clue when I learned it seems like I always knew how. I think it was when I was 4 or 5 though before we went to Saudi Arabia :)

I love to swim!I learned when I was 4.My parents sent me to get lessons and I have been loving it since.I am passing on my love of the water to my daughter..she starts lessons this summer.My husband is afarid of swimming since he had a bad experience as a kid and he wont try even now. :cry:

Thats so sad for DH. I am going to get the little two lessons this year too.

Yes he went on a trip with is parents and his dad apparantly took him out into the deeper end of the lake and told him to swim or sink :evil: It is very difficult for him to even go near water such as a lake,ocean,swimming pool etc.

Omg, I'm so sorry for your hubby, what a terrifying experience.
I don't remember when I learned to swim, but I've always loved water and the ocean.

No I can't swim. I am afraid of water but have no idea why. I don't remember any bad experiences and we were at the beach every weekend as I was growing up. I guess I was just content dawdling around on the shore or close to it. :D

He has made it clear that he will not be swimming this summer :oops: However he is okay with our daughter getting lessons.I personally love the water and its also a great form of excerising..(sp) :D

I took lessons, and I think I was 4 when I learned. My son taught himself. My daughter is afraid to learn.
