It is a tragedy when any young person looses thier life, let alone someone who was just starting to enjoy life.
My heart and prayers go out to the families of the four Boy Scouts that passed away after the tornado hit thier campground.
As a Cub Leader, I am always worrying about my boys when they are not in my site- I know that the older boys, Boy Scouts, have special skills that make them unique and able to cope well in situations like this, and I was heartened to hear how the survivors quickly went to the rescue of the injured. It is a testimonial to how those boys were trained as Scouts, and a reminder that there is something that can be done with our youth to make them caring individuals as they grow older.
Again, prayers are going out to the families of those four boys! |

My thoughts & prayers are with them and their families, as well as all of the families in the flooded states. I am from Iowa, I know how devastating floods and tornados can be. Kara said it well- I, to am very proud of the Cub Scouts and the citizens of Iowa- who came together and worked so hard to keep flooding back from affected areas in Iowa and those who came together to help each other. I praise God & Thank Him, things could have been so much worse than what they were & are.
