I got this recipe from a good friend of mine- Nora Statler and I thought I would post it here and in the recipes section because there seems to be a bad case of influenza/strep going around & this should help with the dehydration, along with juice and plenty of water.
2 quarts of water
1 tsp of baking soda
1 tsp of salt
7 tbsp of sugar
1 package of sugar free koolaid
1/2 tsp of salt substitute (helps with flavor)
Combine all ingredients and store in the refrigerator for no more than 3 days.

I have a similar pedialyte recipe on my blog too. Except with no salt added. If the child can hold down food, some mashed banana will help because it has potassium.
Thanks for sharing it!
